Director of the Propeller Art Gallery in Toronto, Tom Taylor invites us to virtually visit their latest exhibition: The Washi Sisters: A journey through a casual interview and gallery tour. For those unable to attend the exhibition or even for those who did attend and wanted to look back, Tom casually explains the overview of what Washi is and processes behind the collective of artists and the work displayed.
"Now in our twenty-sixth year, this exhibition Washi Sisters: A journey, features four members and two guest artists all coming together and sharing in their exploration and their love of Washi."
-Tom Taylor, Director of Propeller Art Gallery
Propeller Art Gallery, is a members-run, artist-run gallery that aims to collaborate with established or up and coming artists with their networking, curatorial and guidance opportunities. With the Washi Sisters exhibition, members and audiences were able to experience a taste of appreciation towards the fundamentals of what Propeller and Washi materials offer; and interwoven experience between artists and their work.
